Getting Started: Your First Video

Welcome to AiToVid! This guide will walk you through the simple process of creating your first AI-narrated video.

Step 1: Create a New Project

  1. From your dashboard, click the "New Project" button.
  2. Fill in the project details:
    • Project Name (required)
    • Goal Statement (optional) - Describe the main purpose of your presentation
    • Target Audience (optional) - Specify who this presentation is for
    • Voice Selection - Choose from our library of natural-sounding AI voices
    • Pronunciation Guide (optional) - Add custom pronunciation rules for brand names or technical terms
  3. Upload your PowerPoint file (.pptx, maximum 50 slides)
  4. Optionally upload a PDF export of your PowerPoint for the highest quality video output
  5. Review the token cost (based on the number of slides) and click "Create Project"

Step 2: Generate Scripts

After your project is created, you'll be taken to the project editor.

  1. Your PowerPoint slides are automatically extracted and displayed
  2. Click the "Generate Scripts" button in the action bar
  3. Our AI will analyze each slide's content and generate a narration script
  4. Scripts are created in the background - you'll see real-time progress updates
  5. Once complete, review and edit the script for each slide as needed

Note: The first script generation is free. Regenerating scripts costs tokens per slide.

Step 3: Generate Audio

Once you're happy with your scripts, it's time to create the audio narration.

  1. Click the "Generate Audio" button in the action bar
  2. AiToVid will convert all scripts into high-quality audio using your selected voice
  3. Audio generation happens in the background with real-time progress tracking
  4. Once complete, you can play the audio for each slide individually
  5. You can regenerate audio for individual slides or upload your own audio files

Note: The first audio generation is free. Regenerating audio costs tokens per slide.

Step 4: Export Your Video

With your scripts and audio ready, the final step is to create your video.

  1. Click the "Export Video" button in the action bar
  2. AiToVid will combine your slides and audio into a professional video file
  3. You'll see a progress bar showing the export status
  4. Once complete, use the "Download" button to get your video
